Dear Families,
Ms. Allison read us the story Llama Llama Time to Share! (Jaxson) 
We played outside this morning. (Rachel)
We made up some "time when" stories together before we went to write in writing workshop. (Hyrum)
We counted to 10 using a number board! (Josie)
We are going to the ABL lab! (Anthony) We are so excited!
We heard the story Chrysanthemum and talked about how hurtful our words can be when we say unkind things to others.

Reminders:

*If you are still interested in Jenks Joggers fill out the bottom portion and return to school promptly. It is filling up fast! I turned in all forms brought to school today!

*West Elementary Family Fitness Night will be on Monday, September 21 from 5:00-6:30 pm in building E gym (900 Adams Rd). Everyone that goes will receive a gift just for attending and the class with the highest attendance will get an extra PE!

*Please check our website often to know what is going on in our class and school!
*I have noticed a lot of our kids are very sleepy after lunch. We still have a lot of curriculum to cover and learn. Please help make sure your child is getting enough sleep. I really appreciate your help!

Dear Families,

Annie brought us a rainbow fish puppet today! (Mia)

After we saw her puppet, we watched the story Rainbow Fish and the Big Whale!

We learned how to write the letter t. (Cash)

We played 2 fun counting games together! (Hyrum)

We drew a picture of us being a bucket filler. (Megan)

We started our day at PE with Coach Moore! (Anthony)
We went to the computer lab! (Jack)
We talked about the letter t. (Alicia) We are learning its sound and how to write it!
We talked about rainbow fish. (Kenna) We compared two rainbow fish stories we have read in class.
We also reviewed what it means to be a bucket filler! 

News:

West Elementary Family Fitness Night will be on Monday, September 21 from 5:00-6:30 pm in building E gym (900 Adams Rd). There will be activities like dancing, basketball, lacrosse, karate, jiu jitsu, baseball and much more for the kids and their families! Stella is our Trojan this week!
We read 2 stories about Rainbow fish. (Kap) We talked about ways he was a good friend in his stories.
We are talking about friendship this week and how we can be a good friend!
We made a map of our classroom! (Beckett) We are using our classroom map to find new book nooks that we will read our books!
We got to go to the library! (Annie)
We practiced counting.(Xavier)
It was a great day!

Dear Families,
We got to write words on our tables with markers! (Skyler) 
Students practiced writing the words: Hyrum and will. We talked about this being okay ONLY when Mrs. Pandov says we can!
Mrs. Lagere visited our class! (Jaxson) She talked to the class about being bucket fillers.
We played a game called What's the Next Number! (Ariana) I held up a number and they told me what number came next.
We picked good choices that we would do this year in our class! (Iris)

Dear Families,
We heard the story Diary of a Spider before writers workshop! (Corbin) We are learning how our own stories can be made into a book!
We talked about little numbers. (Stella) We practiced counting numbers 1-9. Do Home Link 1-5 to practice numbers at home!
We read the story David Goes to School and discussed appropriate choices a lot today. Now that we are starting to get adjusted behaviors are starting to occur. Thank you for reinforcing how we behave at school.
We made our faces with construction paper, markers, and a paper plate! (Jada) These will be displayed on our bulletin board!

Please make sure to read the email I sent this morning about our site wide screening from the nurse AND PTAG. 
Remember no school on Friday and Monday!

Dear families,
We read the story Froggy Loves Books.
We talked about good ways to treat our books. (Eric)
In writing workshop we got to write more stories! (Megan)
We practiced counting down to 0 and writing numbers in math! (Josie)
We helped David make good choices! (Cash) 
We are discussing how making good choices helps us have a healthy happy life! This is our IB focus!
